June 13-17 / Oklahoma City / Cost: $125
Middle school youth (currently in grades 6-8) are invited to join us on an amazing summer mission experience as we travel to Oklahoma City, OK to work with the Regional Food bank of Oklahoma. They are the largest private hunger-relief charity in the state, feeding more than 116,000 hungry Oklahomans each week. One in six adults and one in four children in Oklahoma struggle with hunger and food insecurity. We will spend our mornings working in their Urban Harvest garden- a sustainable gardening program that focuses on agricultural education, conservation, and fresh food production. In the afternoons, we’ll be working in their large warehouse sorting and preparing food donations to be distributed across the state. The cost of the trip is $125/person.
