Summer Music Camp
Summer Music Camp, a program for children entering grades 3-6, is held for 4 days each June. Campers have loads of fun playing games and learning music in preparation for the performance of a musical. They go on a couple of field trips, receive special t-shirts, present their performance for families and friends on Thursday evening, and come away from the experience with lots of memories of fun times with the staff and friends. Summer Music Camp is led by David Kates and Kathy Forsberg. This year's camp will be held June 13-16, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Carol Choir, for ages 4 years-1st grade, is our first choir and they have a fun time learning about worshipping God through music. They meet on Sundays during the school year, 10:30-10:50 a.m. in Room 005, and sing in worship each month. Children learn fun songs which are appropriate for their developing voices, and serve as a part of their foundation in the church. Carol Choir is led by Helen Gillikin and Rebecca Dynda.
Rainbow Express, for grades 2-5, is a vibrant part of the music program. Rainbow Express meets Wednesdays during the school year, 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the choir room, sings monthly during the 11:00 a.m. service, and leads in worship on Children's Sunday each year. Children learn basic music theory, good singing habits, and all about worship. Rainbow Express is led by Theresa Derr, Frederick Fox, and David Kates.
