How Our Youth are Giving Back

Giving Back

Youth-Driven. Christ-Centered.

Mission and Outreach

Summer 2019 LUMC Youth Mission Trips!

June 10-15 Our middle school youth will be traveling to Oklahoma City, serving with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. We will be working outside in their urban garden as well as inside their warehouse helping to prepare food to be distributed throughout the state. “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land’” Deuteronomy 15:11

July 6-14 Our high school youth will be serving in Seattle, Washington. We will be partnering with churches and organizations that work with the homeless population in Seattle, which is estimated to be the third highest in the nation. “You are my shelter and my shield; I put my hope in your word.” Psalm 119:114

Raising Awareness

One weekend every Spring, our youth are invited to participate in our annual “30 Hour Famine”. They join several other youth groups to fast together, drinking only juice and water as they raise awareness for the issues of poverty and hunger around the world.
Youth are asked to seek pledge money from friends, family, neighbors, etc. to support their fasting efforts. all money raised goes straight to World Vision!

You can also find more information on the World Vision website at www.30hourfamine.org.

Regular Service Events

Weekly in the summer and during selected times during the school year, our Youth volunteer in Littleton and the larger metro area.
