DIAPER DRIVE

DIAPER DRIVE: Sunday, March 2 – March 16, help needy families secure diapers through Love,INC.

Add a box of diapers (any size) to your grocery list, then fill the bins in the breezeway with diapers during the first two weeks of March.

Break Bread

BREAK BREAD provides free hot and nutritious to – go meals every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday has a sit down meal in the Fellowship Hall promoting meaningful relationships among our neighbors by offering them nourishment, unconditional love, and abundant grace.

Volunteers prepare food, package food, deliver food or serve food and share a meal in Fellowship Hall.

WHIZ KIDS

Whiz Kids – More than tutoring

Whiz kids vision: that our students engage in school and the world as confident learners who understand their innate worth and have hope for their future.

Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life? We are always looking for tutors so we can help more children succeed in school. No prior experience required. To learn more and apply to tutor, or to donate to this wonderful program, visit Whiz Kids Tutoring.

Love INC

LoveINC (Love in the name of Christ) seeks to be the eyes and ears in the community, while local Churches are the hands and feet. Together, we are the body of Christ serving our community with love. info@loveinclittleton.org

Volunteers can make phone calls, drive to appointments, work at the resale store. Or, donate items to the Connection Center:  clothes, diapers, furniture.

Renewed Treasures is a resale store at 6512 S. Broadway.  Find treasures there, or donate your used items when you downsize.  Take items to the back door.  Tuesday –  Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 pm.

NORTH LITTLETON PROMISE

  

NORTH LITTLETON PROMISE builds life-giving relationships with immigrant children and families to transform our northeast Littleton neighborhood through Christ.

“Volunteers donate snacks for the after – school programs (both elementary and middle school) and are encouraged to volunteer to help with tutoring and leadership sessions.”

Elementary tutoring sessions need snacks Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:45 p.m.

Middle School tutoring sessons need a meal Wednesdays at 3:45 p.m.

GREEN TEAM
GREEN TEAM promotes awareness in the church community of best environmental practices and offers opportunities for the church community and the wider community to engage in environment – friendly actions.

Green Team activities include trash collection on the So. Platte River, gleaning at local orchards, ongoing recycling drive, gardening, legislative action.

IFCS

 

Ready, Set, School! is an annual drive hosted by Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) to provide new backpacks, grade-appropriate school supplies, and nutritous snacks to give a strong start to the school year. The funds collected range from $65 to $75, depending on the grade level.

 

HAAT FORCE

HAAT Force

HAAT FORCE (Homelessness Awareness Action Task FORCE) Help the homeless in south metro Denver from October – April in snow at 32 degrees or in dry weather at 20 degrees. HAAT FORCE provides motel vouchers and volunteers can provide on-site help or bring food.

CHRISTMAS GIFT BAGS for

CHERRELYN HEALTHCARE CENTER

The Church and Society committee prepares 50 gift bags of treats and personal items for residents who have no family nearby.

To give a gift bag to a resident, please donate a $25 check payable to LUMC with “Cherrelyn” in the memo line. Then, sign an ornament to decorate our giving tree.
